Ben Calvert-Painter BSc (Hons) Ost, PGCAP 

Ben has been teaching post graduate courses for many years, which has included both large and small group work and one to one training.

For over 25 years Ben has worked within many clinical settings including NHS clinics, private practice and sports clubs. This includes working closely with professional athletes and trainers developing rehabilitation and treatment programs, this includes MMA fighters, Boxers, Rugby players and Footballers. He also has a vast experience working on the pitch and side-lines with a variety of teams and levels.

Additional to this Ben works as a national and international tutor, lecturer and supervisor. This includes working as a clinic and technique tutor, research supervisor for under-graduate and post-graduate dissertations and examiner for clinical competence, technique and clinical methodology.

Ben is also a co-author of ‘Spine and Joint Articulation for Manual Therapists’.

Danny Church BSc (Hons) Ost, PGAce 

Danny has been teaching undergraduate and post graduate courses in osteopathic technique, observation and patient examination, case history and communication and clinic examination for many years, both in the UK and internationally

As well as being in private practice for over 15 years, Danny is a clinic team leader at the University collage of Osteopathy (formerly the British school of Osteopathy). He is also a senior clinic tutor in the award winning Blanchard clinic ( formerly Chapman) treating people living with HIV. He was also deputy leader on department of health funded research project “the Osteomap program” ( a groundbreaking blend of mindfulness and acceptance theory and Osteopathy)
Helping patients to live well with chronic pain.

Danny is an examiner of clinical competency and has experience of examining both in the UK and abroad.

Danny always tries to bring clinical relevance to all the courses he teaches.

Tim Allardyce

MSc Physiotherapy, BSc (Hons) Osteopathy, MSCP

Tim is a Consultant Physiotherapist and Registered Osteopath, qualified in 2002 and 2005. He is also Clinical Director of Surrey Physio, a group of physiotherapy clinics in South London and Surrey. In 2012 he became qualified with a Masters in Sports Physiotherapy, and in 2017 he qualified as a prescribing physiotherapist . Tim is widely recognised as a UK leading expert in the treatment and rehabilitation of complicated injuries, chronic pain, and elite sportspeople. Tim has worked at three Olympic Games, one Commonwealth Games, numerous multi-games events and World Championships

Helen Robinson BSc (Hons) Ost

Helen has been an osteopath and tutor for over 15 years, this includes being a clinic tutor in the Expectant Mothers clinic at the University College of Osteopathy.

Helen also works as a midwife and doula within the NHS, and brings years an in depth of knowledge and experience from working within NHS wards and clinics, as well as private clinics into the courses she runs with CPD Today.

Jo Holmden D.O.,

PgC ACE

Jo has many years experience in private practice, clinical tutoring, undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and examining both in the UK and abroad.

Jo has worked as a clinical tutor at UCO (previously The British School of Osteopathy) for over 30 years as well delivering both undergraduate & postgraduate technique courses. She has worked with the GOsC as a mentor & examiner and has experience of examining final clinical competence in a variety of settings.

Jo holds a postgraduate certificate in Academic and Clinical Education and her extensive experience as both a practitioner and educator enable her to share a breadth of knowledge in an accessible way.

Jonathan Edis, BA, BSc, PgCAP, FHEA

Jonathan graduated from the British School of Osteopathy (BSO) in 2001.

Since 2002, he has combined work in general osteopathic practice with academic lecturing & clinical supervision at the UCO. He has lectured in anatomy, patient examination skills, muscle energy technique & structural osteopathic manipulative technique (OMT).

 

Since 2010, Jonathan has also been delivering courses in the UK and EU, on Still Technique OMT.

 

Jonathan is interested in history & philosophy, & how they influence modern osteopathic practice. He also ‘enjoys’ (if such a thing is possible) following England cricket & the ‘mighty’ Hammers.
